Virdie Dale Watson

Virdie Dale Watson, Rossville, Oklahoma, resident since 1953, was born on March 7, 1911, in Berlin, Oklahoma, and departed this life on April 13, 2005, in Norman, Oklahoma, VA Nursing Home, at the age of 94 years. Virdie was the son of Virdie Alvin and Lillian Estell Cook Watson. He married Mary E. Landcaster in August, 1945, Denton, Texas. Virdie served in the 45th Thunderbirds during WWII, He worked as a welder at the Tinker Air Force Base for twenty plus years before retiring His parents, wife, four brothers and one sister preceded Virdie in death. Survivors include, their only child: Rodney Dale Watson and his wife Sherry of Cherokee, KS; One brother: Lavoy Watson of Galesburg, IL; One sister: Thresa Bean of Eufaula, OK; Three grandchildren; Two step-grandchildren; Ten great-grandchildren; Four step-great-grandchildren; Very special friends: Don & Barty Atwell of Rossville, OK; More relatives and many friends.
