Verna Jean Friend

Verna Jean Friend was born on September 1, 1958, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, February 1, 2010, in Prague, at the age of 51. Verna, the daughter of Vernie M. and Aileen (Pratka) Jordan, was a resident of Prague. Her family moved to Arizona when Verna was a young girl and returned to Prague when she was a teenager. She graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1976 and received her LPN from Gordon Cooper in 1978. Survivors include parents, Vernie and Aileen Jordan of Prague; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Courtney Friend of Meeker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and June Jordan of Choctaw, Mark and Dana Jordan of Prague; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Charles Gerlich of Prague; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
