Velma Jean Hodge

Velma Jean Hodge, a Stroud, Oklahoma, resident, was born in Townsley, Arkansas, on March 20, 1917, and departed this life in Stroud on Monday, October 30, 2006, at the age of 89 years. Velma was the daughter of Jessie & Mary Stanberry Hodge. She was a resident of Stroud most of her life, a member of the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma, and a clerk for the Oklahoma Tax Commission in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, and 8 brothers. Survivors include, three daughters, Pat Kirkland of Stroud, OK, Betty Hanby of Houston, TX, Alice Bailey of Houston, TX; two sisters, Vesta Royer of Davenport, OK, Jessie Alexander of Stroud, OK; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; others relatives and friends.
