Ronald Lee Adkisson, 77, formerly of Agra, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, at his home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Ronald was born on June 3, 1948, in Levelland, Texas, to D.L. and Barbara B. (Long) Adkisson. He grew up in Levelland and later attended Odessa High School. In 1965, Ronald proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country until 1974. During his service, he worked as a first cook and kitchen supervisor, completing three tours during the Vietnam War.
On April 25, 1969, Ronald married the love of his life, Joyce Fay Lane, in Odessa, Texas. The couple shared many wonderful years together until her passing in 2013.
After his military service, Ronald built a lifelong career in auto sales. He owned and operated a used car dealership in Agra for several years.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, D.L. and Barbara Adkisson; his wife, Joyce Adkisson; and his son, Johnny Adkisson.
He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Chrisman and her husband, Brock, of Edmond; his son, Billy R. Adkisson of Cushing, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Joannie, and Sherry. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kai, Oliver, Roman, Myleigh, Blakeleigh, Kinsleigh, and Hadleigh; his brother, D.L. Adkisson Jr. of Levelland, Texas; and sisters, Kay Hill, Dorothy Green of Midland, Texas, and Patricia Gail. Ronald will also be deeply missed by a host of extended family members and dear friends.
