Ray Arnold Corcorran

Ray Arnold Corcorran born August 14, 1926, in Webb City, OK, to Roy & Minnie (Camp) Corcorran peacefully went to be with his Maker, July 30, 2009. Ray was a loyal member of the Ironworkers Union Local 48 where he worked on many of Oklahoma buildings & other jobs across the country. He loved fishing and traveling with the love of his life, Doris Jean (Tomlinson) who he met while serving in the US Navy 1944-1947. They shared a special love story of 2 Oklahoman's sharing the same birthday, but met on a blind date in San Diego, CA. They wed March 10, 1947 in Tia Juana, Mexico before Ray shipped out. They made their way back to OK where they raised their 4 children, Tommy Corcorran of Jacksonville, FL, Kathie Keeling of Moore, OK, Barry & wife, Maureen Corcorran of Midwest City, OK & Janell Corcorran of Yukon, OK, as well he leaves 6 grandchildren & 1 great-granddaughter. May Ray rest in peace. We love you. Memorials may be made to Choctaw Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm, Sunday, Aug. 2nd at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 3, 2009, at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, with Rev. Rick Sowell officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
