Patsy Ann (Wakley) Ninness, 85, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Patsy was born on Sunday, July 25, 1937, to Henry David and Fady Long (Suggs) Wakley in Chandler, Oklahoma. She grew up and attended schools in Chandler, graduating from Chandler High School. On April 4, 1959, Patsy married Romeyn Ninness in Chandler. As a military spouse to Romeyn who served in the United States Air Force, Patsy traveled the world with him. During his career, they lived in several different countries and several different states in the U.S.
Throughout her life, Patsy worked in Chandler. She worked at the garment factory as well as the Chandler Tag Agency. First and foremost, Patsy was a homemaker. She took care of her family and helped out on the farm. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing the piano when she was younger. Patsy will be remembered as always being very sweet, living her life by the Bible, and being “The Best Grandma in the World.”
Patsy was a long-time member of the Davenport First Baptist Church, Davenport, Oklahoma.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Romeyn Ninness; her parents, Henry and Fady Wakley; brother, Glen Wakley; sisters, Lavada M. (Wakley) Place, Sue (Wakley) Huffman, and Phillis (Wakley) Huff.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl Ann Ninness, Mark Edward Ninness and wife, Michelle, and Kristel Ninness; grandchildren, Justin Lewis, Nichole Lewis, Chelsea Dey Adamson, Raechel Dawn Ninness, Dawn Renee Wild, and Blair Shockley; 9 great grandchildren; her brother, Harold David Wakley; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
