Mason Chance Cooper, born March 22, 2002, in Rowlett, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 23. Though his time on earth was brief, Mason lived fully, courageously, and with a heart full of love, loyalty, and passion.
Mason grew up in Prague, Oklahoma, where he made lifelong friends and left a lasting mark on the community. He graduated from Prague High School in 2020, where he excelled as a talented baseball player. His love for the game continued as he played at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, showcasing not only his athleticism but also his dedication and competitive nature.
An avid outdoorsman, Mason found his greatest peace in nature. Whether he was hunting, fishing, noodling, or simply spending time in the woods—his “happy place”—he was truly at home. A natural-born hunter, Mason harvested many trophy deer. His connection to nature was as instinctive as it was spiritual.
Mason was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. He was also skilled at operating tractors, skid steers, and heavy equipment. Mechanically gifted and hard-working, he took pride in any job he undertook and was always quick to lend a hand when needed.
He was a loyal friend, an honest soul, and a fierce advocate for the underdog. Politically knowledgeable and conservative in his values, Mason enjoyed discussing current events and standing firm in his beliefs. He carried himself with wisdom beyond his years and was known for his thoughtful advice and great sense of humor.
Mason was proud of his Native American heritage as a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation. He was saved and baptized at Prague First Assembly of God Church, openly sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. His life was a testimony of strength, gratitude, and courage—especially after his diagnosis. He chose to live boldly, without fear, continuing to do what he loved most.
Mason was preceded in death by his grandfather, Danny Lee Cooper. He is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Dallas (England) Cooper; his beloved younger brother, Aiden Cooper; his grandparents, Linda Joy Cooper, Robert and Diana Sander, and Gary and Jean England; and a large extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
