Chandler

Marsha Sue Pringle, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Chandler, Oklahoma, on June 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Marsha was born on May 21, 1942, in Ellsworth, Kansas, to David Burl and Delores Lee (Burrows) Cole. She was the youngest of two daughters. Her family later settled in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she was raised.

Marsha was first married to Albert Bartlett Franklin, and together they had two daughters. She later married Larry Edward Pringle in Pope County, Arkansas. Larry preceded her in death in 2019.

At the age of 35, Marsha began her career as a business owner, opening the original Marsha’s Café in Oklahoma City. She later founded and operated Marsha’s Country Kitchen in Chandler, which she ran until she sold the café and retired in 2014.

Marsha had a lifelong love of horses, beginning in childhood when she participated in rodeos. In later years, she pursued a passion for foundation horse breeding and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with her grandchildren, teaching them to ride, barrel race, and pole bend. Her favorite horse was named “Amaretta.” She also had a deep affection for all animals, especially dogs.

Marsha will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, strong will, intelligence, and the deep love she shared with her family. She was a true spitfire and full of life. Her children and grandchildren cherished the many adventures they shared with her, and creating lasting memories.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, David and Delores Cole; her first husband and father of her children, Albert Franklin; and by her second husband, Larry Pringle.

She is survived by two daughters, DeAnna Brannam and her husband, Howard Brannam, and Rebecca (Becky) Franklin; a sister, Linda Cole; niece, Ronda Verrette; five grandchildren, Steven Franklin, Sarah Franklin, Melissa Franklin, Mikayla Brannam, and Jessica Brannam; friend and caregiver, Debbie (Hub) Miller; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Per Marsha’s wishes, no services will be held. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
