Marie Ellen Parks

Marie Ellen Parks was born on November 11, 1924, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, August 5, 2004, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Marie, the daughter of Floyd Charlie and Bertha Dove Sams Beaman, was a life-long resident of Meeker. She married Harry Gilbert Parks on April 25, 1942 in Prague. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1992. Marie was a graduate of Meeker High School with the class of 1944 and received her degree as a registered nurse from Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the Meeker Christian Church and the VFW Auxiliary. Her parents, 1 son, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include sister, Wanda Bowen of Meeker and many other relatives and friends.
