Lillie Mae Florer, long time Davenport resident, was born February 5, 1937 in Stillwater, OK and departed this life November 27, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Mae was born to John William Florer and Lillie C. (Price) Florer. Mae graduated from Kendrick high school. After high school she worked in OKC as a nanny then later moved back to Davenport to help her family out. Mae spent many years working for Bud Blakley and then at Dan’s BBQ. After she retired from working, she spent the remaining last few years at Stroud Nursing Home. Some of Mae’s favorite things were reading and being around her family. Mae was a very religious lady, attending Davenport FBC for years. She was such a sweet and kind and a much-loved woman. Mae is preceded in death by her parents JW and Lillie Florer, her sisters Ruby Vassar and Ellen Ferguson, and brothers Bill and Wayne Florer. Mae is survived by her sister Alice Vandever, sister Lorene Smith and brother John Florer along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many other relatives and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Parkland Cemetery in Chandler, OK with Pastor Mike Mitchell officiating.
