Lora Mayetta Pope

Lora Pope was born on June 23, 1931, in Hinton Oklahoma and departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Lora, the daughter of Alvonso and Lucille Dobbs, was a resident of Meeker. Lora was married for 25 years to V.C. Pope. She worked in the machine shop at Wolverine. Lora was preceded in death by her parents, one son David, and one brother. Survivors include two daughters, Dana Pope of Meeker and Diane Gee of Shawnee; three brothers, Bill, Paul, and Olen Visor; one sister, Vergie; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 am, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
