Prague

Kathryn “Jane” Davis of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 in Stoud, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Jane was born on October 13, 1949 in Prague, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Carl Cecil and Alta Mae (Orr) Brown.

Jane was proceeded in death by her parents, her MIL Florene Horton, her husband John Davis, her brother Johnny Brown, her brother Kenneth Brown, SIL Nancy Brown, BIL Don Ahboah, Grand Nephew Blaine Yarber, Grand Niece Casey Ackerman, and Nephew J Paul Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory are; her sister Linda Ahboah of OKC, Niece Shelly Wilson of the home, Grand Niece Raylin Wilson, Grand Nephew Gabe Wilson, Niece Shannon & Randy Yarber, Grand Nephew Zach Yarber, Niece Kim & Troy Beasler, Niece Leah and Bryan Ackerman, Niece Shelia & Zach Pritchet, Nephew Michael & Trina Brown and Niece Ashley & Derrick McAnally. Grand Nieces and Nephews Courtney, Colby, Sam, Allison, Kendall, Kyle, Maddison, Carly, Riley, Aiden, Johnny, Kate and Rowan. And a host of other family and friends.

Jane lived a colorful life and did it her way. One of the biggest characters you could ever meet. She was always cutting up and laughing and would have you laughing with her.

She graduated from Paden High School. Her working years consisted of the Federal Reserve, Tinker Air Force Base, Prague City Hall, Beachler's IGA and a few other places.

She married John Henry Davis on April 28, 1977. They resided in Prague and enjoyed 41 years of marriage. Together they spent every moment they could at a lake fishing. Whether Stroud Lake in their motor home or Lake Eufaula at their lake cabin. Once a year they would have a very large fish fry in their backyard for all family and friends. It became a yearly gathering that all looked forward to.

They also loved crafts, John made the crafts from wood and Jane did the painting. They loved Christmas and their yard was filled with wooden animated characters that Jane painted, and the house was decked out in lights.

Jane developed a love for Christmas village houses and started collecting them. Before long she had a display that took up half of her dining room and included thousands of tiny details and accessories. So much that she would have to start putting it up at Halloween to have it completed by Thanksgiving. John was her worker elf during the set up and in charge of lighting and anything that needed to be built to better display the village.

Jane loved to bake and at Christmas her family and friends would get to enjoy her candies, cookies and pies. If you had a request, she would make it for you.

There will never be another like her and she will be missed by all who loved her. She loved with her whole heart all of her life and keeping us laughing was just one of the ways she showed it.

She ended every visit by saying I Love You More. This isn't goodbye it is just see you soon, we love you more.
