John Ervine Thomas was born on February 23, 1933, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and departed this life onTuesday, December 20, 2005, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 72. John the son of Edward Walter and Beatrice Connolly, was a life-long resident of Prague. John married Kay Watkins Stewart on June 19, 1985. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague. John was the editor and publisher of Prague Times Herald from 1974 until he sold the paper in 1994.
