Jewell Belle Schima

Jewell Belle Schima was born on October 13, 1908, in Prague, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 26, 2005, in Shawnee, OK, at the age of 96. Jewell, the daughter of Hubert Leroy and Myrtle Mary Duggan Smith, was a resident of Shawnee. She married Carl Schima on October 31, 1927, in Okemah, OK. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1990. Jewel was a retired retail clerk. Her parents and three sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include, her daughter, Lawanda Payne of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Velma Smith of Ardmore; grandson and his wife, Rodney and Linda Hill of Lahina, Hawaii; and great-granddaughter, Megan Hill of Lahina, Hawaii. Memorials may be made to Unity North Medical Center in Shawnee.
