James Lawrence Connerly

James Lawrence Connerly, age 83, of Harrah, OK, was born July 5, 1927, in Clay County, Illinois. He was the son of Charles & Dollie (Brainard) Connerly. He left this life on Sunday, January 2, 2011, in Midwest City, OK. Lawrence served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, dispatcher and truck driver moving oil rigs in the oilfield in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Willie Stanford and son-in-law, John Kruse. Survivors include his wife, Verna Connerly, Harrah, OK; 2 daughters & son-in-law, Donna Jean Kruse, Cameron, MO, Sandra Kay & Jody Holland, Harrah, OK; sister, Thelma Stanford,Flora, IL; 4 grandchildren, Matt Kruse, Katie Holland, Adam Kruse, Wes Holland; 4 great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jake, Garrett & Phoebe; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Kobe Nance & Kacy Nance and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK , with Dr. Rick Sowell officiating.
