James Daniel Nicely

James Daniel Nicely was born on January 1, 1948 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and departed this life on Friday, October 17, 2008, in Seminole, OK. James, the son of Daniel Hurdle and Ruth Belle Porter Nicely, was a resident of Prague. James served his country with the National Guard, was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, and worked as a carpenter. He married Burdetta Charline Redford on October 4, 1971, in Gainesville, Texas. James was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one son, Thomas Daniel Nicely. James is survived by his wife, Burdetta, of the home in Prague; daughters and son-in-law, Florinda and Timothy Ridge of Sallisaw and Lora Lasley of Poteau; brothers and sister-in-law, John David and Sandra Nicely of Norman, Tommy Mashaw of Cookson Hills; sisters, Joy and Jerry Helms of Barling, AR, Rosetta Thomas of Newalla; and six grandchildren.
