J E Armstrong

J E Armstrong was born on May 5, 1923, in Anthony, Kansas, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, in McLoud, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. J E, the son of Silas Edger and Leona Beatrice Kirkendall Armstrong, was a resident of Shawnee. He married Cleo Laree Pershall on January 7, 1942 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. J E was retired from Continental Oil Exploration where he worked as an oil surveyor. He was a member of the Methodist Church. His parents and one son, Jimmy Ray Armstrong, preceded J E in death. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Cleo Laree Armstrong of the home; son and daughters-in-law, Michael Jay and Janet Armstrong of Colorado Springs, CO, Carol Armstrong of Norman, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Dianne and Carlos Myers of Dale, OK, Pamela Joy and Randy Ledford of Pawnee, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Irlene Armstrong of Sand Springs, OK; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
