Gracie Esther Fitzgerald

Gracie Esther Fitzgerald, age 96, of Harrah, OK, was born June 10, 1918, in Zafra, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Ode Cleveland & Emma (Whisenhunt) Moore. She left this life on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, in Harrah, OK. Esther graduated from Putnam City High School. She married Spurgeon E. Fitzgerald on June 4, 1941, in El Reno, OK. Esther was a Bell telephone operator and homemaker. She was a member of the Choctaw Church of the Nazarene. Esther enjoyed taking care of her family and in her younger years, square dancing, riding motorcycles and was a member of the Harrah Band Boosters. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include her 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Gary & Carla Fitzgerald, Harrah, OK, Darwin & Kristy Fitzgerald, Verden, OK, Gordon & Betsy Fitzgerald, Harrah, OK; 6 grandchildren:Roxie, Robin, Kevin, James, Melissa & Kristy; 4 great-grandchildren, Ellorie, Jameson, Madison & Adrianna and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Life Spring Hospice for their loving care. Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, November 17, 2014, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Richard Sowder officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
