Florence Lorene (Manning) Remington

Florence Lorene Remington was born in Stroud, Oklahoma, on June 1, 1928, and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma, on Monday, May 21, 2012. Florence Lorene was the daughter of Roy Lee and Florence Ethel (Reddick) Manning. She was a resident of Stroud most of her life. Florence Lorene was a member of the First Christian Church in Stroud and a homemaker. She married Robert L. 'Bob' Remington in Stroud, Oklahoma, on March 30, 1946. He preceded her in death July 5, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. Survivor include, two sons and daughters-in-law, John & Mary Remington of Broken Arrow, Joe & Deborah Remington of Prague, one daughter, Laleta Baker of Drumright,six grandchildren, Michael and Stephen Remington, Melani Riley, Brandon, Tyler and Megan Remington, twelve great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, on May 24, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Matt Scraper officiating, burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
