Elven Noah Flood age 76 of Nashoba, Oklahoma, left this life on July 24, 2018 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He was born on November 26, 1941, in Cunningham, Texas to Elven E. and Gertrude M. (Lemaster) Flood. Elven graduated high school, and joined the U.S. Navy in December of 1959 to April of 1964, he later graduated from Oklahoma University, he was a life time member of the VFW. and a member of the NRA. He loved anything that had to do with fire-arms and was one of the first conceal carry teachers in the state. He enjoyed deer hunting. Elven worked for the McAlester State correctional facility and the McAlester Ammunition Plant as Corpsman in the infirmary. He owned the General Store in Nashoba closing it in 2013, he had also worked at Technacon selling medical equipment, and had started his own company tech-med and was selling medical equipment. Elven served as the Pushmataha County Sheriff from 2000 to 2004. Elven is survived by his wife Kay Lynn (Foster) Flood of the home, three daughters Deborah Thomas of Texas, Cassandra Tyler of Chandler and Stacy Flood of McAlester, three grandchildren David Garrison of Chandler, Chris Garrison of Chandler and Brandon Tyler of Chandler, four great-grandchildren Layla Gilpatrick, David Garrison II, Cazzalynn Garrison and Cecilia Garrison. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Billie Seals, Joyce Baker and Edna Cotton, one brother Ronald Flood. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 31, 2018, at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Oklahoma.
