Dustin Keith Brown, of Prague, Oklahoma, was born on June 22, 1976 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Stanley Morris and Naomi Sue (Hildreth) Brown. He went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of forty-seven. Dustin was raised in the Prague and Paden area. He was the only 1994 graduate of the Lighthouse Christian Academy in Prague, where he proudly graduated top of his class. Dustin married Karie Lynn Shivers on July 21, 2001 at the Lighthouse Holiness Church. They made their home in Prague, with their three children, Dylan, Kynzee and Kalynn
Education was very important to Dustin. He was very intelligent and had the rare ability to make everyone around him feel smarter. After high school, Dustin went to Seminole State College, where he earned his associate degree. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor degree in Finance. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Masters of Business Administration. Dustin began and ended his career of twenty years as a Bank Examiner with the FDIC except for a brief period where he was CFO at Wewoka Security State Bank.
Dustin was committed to God and was devoted in helping others in every aspect of his life. Dustin and Karie were the youth leaders and Sunday School teachers at Lighthouse Holiness Church. He was a song leader and choir director, in addition he also served as Secretary on the AGMA Mission Board.
Dustin was a dedicated family man and he enjoyed spending time with them. He was very quick witted and humor was a large part of his personality. He was very resourceful and was always thinking of ways to better himself and his family. He had a competitive and entrepreneurial spirit and eagerly shared his knowledge with others. He had huge heart for people and counseled many in their struggles. He loved to sing, the faster the song, the better. Not only was he talented, but more importantly he sang with anointing.
To know him, was to love him and if he called you friend, there was none truer. Dustin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
