Dorothy Mae (Lynch) Hall passed away at home on August 19, 2024 at the age of 95. Dorothy was born on May 12th, 1929 in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, near Prague to Joseph Daniel and Zelphia Elizabeth (Haymaker) Lynch. Dorothy spent most of her life in the Prague area and Shawnee with a few years in California. Dorothy spent her years as a homemaker raising her five children, two girls, Anita Massingill and June Newport, three sons, Danny Hall, Steve Hall and Dennis Hall. She had one daughter, Doris Jean, who passed away at a tender age of ten days.
Dorothy’s favorite thing to do was work in her flower garden. Her “coat of many colors” rose bush was her pride and joy. She got such pleasure in the time she spent caring for each plant.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Doris Jean; her oldest daughter, Anita Sue Massingill; her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hall; five brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, June Newport and her husband, Glenn, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three sons, Danny Hall of Shawnee; Steve Hall and his wife, Cheryl, of Seminole and Dennis Hall and his wife, Jean, of De’Queen, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Collins of Shawnee and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
