Dale M. Broudrick, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. He was born on April 15, 1949, in Shawnee to Melvin and Vera James Broudrick.
Dale grew up in Meeker and was a proud 1967 graduate of Meeker High School. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force Reserves, where he faithfully served for several years. On December 31, 1967, he married the love of his life, Janice Marak. Together, they made their home in Meeker, where they shared a lifetime of devotion and raised their two children, Sandra and Michael.
For many years, Dale worked with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until his retirement. Known for his incredible skills and creativity, Dale was truly gifted with his hands. He was a talented carpenter, leather worker, machinist, guitarist, and saddle maker. He even traveled to British Columbia, Canada, to further hone his saddle-making craft. He also had a lifelong love of classic cars, most notably restoring and maintaining his father’s 1966 Chevy Pickup, a treasured family heirloom.
Dale’s sense of humor and love of storytelling left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Whether he was building something, strumming his guitar, riding horses, tinkering in his workshop, or sharing a good joke, Dale’s life was marked by joy, laughter, and hard work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Vera Broudrick, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife of 57 years, Janice Broudrick; his daughter, Sandra Wilkins and her husband, Andrew; his son, Michael Broudrick; his brother, Larry Broudrick and his wife, Kathie; seven grandchildren, Joseph Broudrick and his wife, Kira, Lucia Boutwell and her husband, Jake, Cristin Stephens, Emily Broudrick, Jeffrey Broudrick, Chloe Wilkins, and Phoebe Wilkins; eleven great-grandchildren, Alissa, Kaidyn, Zachariah, Lilith, Jack, Beau, Ollie, Lacey, MacKenzie, Kaleb, and Madison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Meeker. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Meeker. Viewing will be at Parks Brothers in Prague until the visitation with family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Meeker.
