Billy Ray Lakins

Billy Ray Lakins was born on October 12, 1941, in Paden, OK, and departed this life on Monday, November 14 , 2005, in Shawnee, OK, at the age of 64. Billy Ray, the son of Archie and Bertha Brown Lakins, was a resident of Paden. He married Carolyn Strawn on January 30, 1961. She preceded Billy Ray in death on April 6, 1997. He was a retired small engine mechanic and a member of the Burnett Mission Church. His parents, one daughter, Gwenith Ann; one grandson, Kenneth Ray; and one brother, Archie, preceded Billy Ray in death. Survivors include son, Kevin Lakins of Yukon; daughters, Teressa Davenport of Paden, Jennifer Ann and Ethan Smith of Paden; daughter-in-law, Vickie Lakins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Dorothy Lakins of Paden, James and Evelyn Lakins of Checotah, Ronnie and Racheal Lakins of Paden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Goldie and Charles Sandoz of The Dalles, OR, Jewell Collins of Pawhuska, Lorene and John Kimsey of McLoud, Florene and John Garland of Paden, Lavonne and Howard Brown of Prague; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.
