Betty Jean Ballard

Betty Jean Ballard, long time Meeker, Oklahoma, resident, was born on February 3, 1924, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on June 19, 2007, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years. Betty Jean was the daughter of J. L. and Leedie Reed Armstrong. She married Elmer Otis Ballard in Guthrie, Oklahoma on July 25, 1941. Betty Jean was a beautician, and the owner of her own beauty shop, and a member of the First Baptist Church, in Meeker. Her parents, husband, one son, one daughter, and one sister preceded Betty in death. Survivors include five sons, Alan Ballard of Meeker, OK., Robert Ballard of Meeker, OK., William Ballard of Shawnee, OK., Calvin Ballard of Modesto, CA., Tommy Ballard of Modesto, CA. Two daughters, Karen Small of Oklahoma City, OK., Patsy Peeler of California. One brother, James Armstrong of Oklahoma City, OK. Twelve grandchildren,numerous great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends.
