Barbara Estelle Spencer

Barbara Estelle Spencer, Choctaw, OK, age 81, was born on June 1, 1930, in Westville, OK. She was the daughter of Dave & Alice Frances (Phillips) Wilkie. She left this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, in Harrah, OK. Barbara married Melvin C. Spencer on May 4, 1946. She worked as a cook at Choctaw Schools and was a member of Choctaw Road Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed church, reading and her grandkids. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin, daughter, Barbara Jean, 3 brothers, Phillip 'Pip' Wilkie and Loren 'Nook' Wilkie and Leo Wilkie, 3 sisters, Colleen Wilkie, Mary Ann Wilkie and Reba Cross. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, David & Marla Kaye Spencer, Harrah, OK; 2 daughters & son-in-law, Bettie Loudenslager, Harrah, OK, Melba Kay & Bud Meaders, Branson, MO; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
