Meeker

Aaron Cole Standlee of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, near Loyal, Oklahoma, at the age of 42.

Aaron was born on November 1, 1982, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Darrell Lynn Standlee and Cynthia Joy (Ramseyer) Standlee. He was raised in Meeker, where he graduated with the Meeker High School Class of 2001. During his school years, Aaron was an active and proud member of Meeker 4H and FFA, earning his State FFA Degree and showing steers from the age of nine through graduation. He also participated in the Junior Optimist Club of Meeker during 5th and 6th grades.

Following high school, Aaron went to work alongside his family at Darrell Standlee Construction. He was a gifted and highly skilled heavy equipment operator, a trade he had taken to at a very young age. Aaron had a deep love for the outdoors and spent much of his free time hunting, fishing, and relaxing on weekends at Lake Eufaula with family and friends, especially enjoying time on his pontoon boat.

Aaron had a quiet, bashful nature—until you got to know him. He was loyal and dependable, always ready to lend a hand at any hour. He loved hanging out in the shop with friends and family and treasured the simple joy of playing tractors each night with his girls.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Joy Standlee, grandparents, Clifford and Elvesta Standlee and grandfather, Frank Ramseyer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Darrell Lynn Standlee; his partner, Ashley Reynolds; his children, Remi Lynn Standlee, Saylor Nicole Standlee, Avery Nicole Davis, and Boston Gray; his brother, Daniel Standlee and wife Kelly; his sister, Jennifer Standlee Daniels and husband Jack; his nieces and nephews: Caden Standlee, Elle Standlee, Jaxon Standlee Daniels, Hudson Standlee Daniels, Cooper Standlee, Max Standlee, Fisher Standlee, Mason Standlee, and Caroline Standlee and his grandmother, Phyllis Ramseyer. He is also survived by a host of extended family and dear friends.
