OBITUARY: Velma Coweta Green Stein Velma Coweta Green Stein was born on December 30, 1914, in Wellston, OK, and departed this life on , November 27, 2008, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 93. Velma, the daughter of Henry and Lydia Nichols Green, was a life-long resident of Wellston. She married Fred W. Stein on December 19, 1937 in Wellston. Velma was a homemaker, farmer, and active community leader. She was a 69 year charter member of the Captain Creek Home Extension Club and a long-time member of Wellston Christian Church. Her parents, husband, four sisters and three brothers preceded Velma in death. Survivors include, Two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jane Webb & Terry Spreier of Oklahoma City, OK, Lois Ann & Curtis Fowler of Wellston, OK, Sister, Edaline Cramer of Oklahoma City, OK, Two grandchildren, Fredrick Wayne Webb of El Paso, TX, Radeana Anne Rumpl of Wellston, OK, Five great-grandchildren, One great-great-grandchild, Other relatives and many friends. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler, OK. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:00 at Wellston Christian Church in Wellston, OK with Pastor Kenny Violette officiating. Interment will follow at Wellston Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
