Stanford Burnie Lambert

February 7, 1925 — March 1, 2016

Stanford Burnie Lambert, Choctaw, OK, age 91, was born on February 7, 1925, in Red Oak, OK. He was the son of Leroy and Emily (Davis) Lambert. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in Calumet, OK. Stan proudly served in the 11th Airborne of the U.S. Army during WWII. He married LaVerne Harris on August 15, 1949, in Van Buren, AR and they moved to Choctaw, OK in 1959. He retired from Otasco and St. Anthony Hospital. Stan was a Mason. He was a collector and enjoyed woodworking, painting and making jewelry. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, wife, LaVerne, one sister and one brother. He is survived by 3 sons; 4 daughters; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Russell-Murray Hospice, 221 S. Bickford Ave., El Reno, OK 73036. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2016, at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
