Ruth L. Goodnight

Ruth L. Goodnight was born on April 1, 1926, in Johnson, OK, and departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2005, in Cushing, OK, at the age of 78. Ruth, the daughter of Lonnie Bass and Alma Gene Smith Dickenson, was a resident of Prague. She married Marvin Elder Goodnight on November 3, 1945, in Shawnee, OK. He predeceased her on April 13, 1992. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for 65 years. Her parents; 2 brothers, Vernon and Lonnie Dickenson; and 2 sisters; Maurine Hale and Lena Washington, also preceded Ruth in death. Survivors include: sons, Jimmy Don Goodnight and his wife Klona of Prague Dale Goodnight of Prague; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Jessie Hunton of Prairie Grove, AR, Bessie Melton of Prague, Myrtle and Willie Hood of Shawnee, Alene Vasquez of Shawnee, Frankie and George Bland of Shawnee; Grandchildren, Stephanie and Chris Lee, Jimmy and Jana Goodnight, Charlotte Goodnight, Justin Goodnight; Great Grandchildren, Cody, Anna, Amanda; Great-great-grandson, Gavin; and Brother-in-law, Melvin Goodnight of Prague.
