James Louis Hensley was born on June 9, 1938, in Katy, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, October 30, 2010, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. James, the son of Raymond and Bonnie Lee (Tiner) Hensley, was a long-time resident of Prague, Oklahoma. He graduated from Wynnewood High School with the class of 1959. James married Earline Marie Robinson on July 6, 1959 in Gainesville, Texas. His lengthy career in law enforcement included serving as a deputy officer in Pottawatomie and and Lincoln Counties, a police officer with the Meeker and Chandler Police Departments, and the Lake Officer at the Chandler Lake for seven years. James was a member of the Calvary Way Church. His parents, two sisters, Ruby Coe and Betty Winters; and his grandson, Scooter Laizure, preceded James in death. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Earline Hensley of the home; son, David Hensley of El Reno; daughter, Vicki Laizure of Davenport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Bobbie Hensley of Vidor, TX, Carl Hensley of Pauls Valley, Roy and Jewel Hensley of Hooks, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Ronnie Mackey of Fletcher, Joan and Jerry Dunn of Pauls Valley; grandchildren, Chris Laizure, Matthew Hensley, Ryan Hensley; great-grandchildren, Colton Laizure, Maison Laizure, Devon Peeler. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Calvary Way Church in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis officiating. Burial is private. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
