Asa Lee Potter was born on December 10, 1920 , in Dawson, OK, and departed this life on Friday, April 22, 2011, in Shawnee, OK, at the age of 90 years. Asa, the son of W.E. and Flossie (Hale) Potter, was a long-time resident of Kendrick, OK. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Asa married Leta Pearl on July 31, 1949, and worked as a steelworker for many years. His parents, wife and one sister preceded Asa in death. Survivors include, two daughters, Linda Grace of Shawnee, OK, Wanda McGee of OKC, OK, two brothers, Jack Potter of Tulsa, OK, Ernie Potter of Tulsa, OK, one sister, Jean Miller of Chandler, OK, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Parkland Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Youell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
