Obituary

Suzanne Michelle Tanner, lovingly known as Shelly, passed away on November 4, 2026, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 60. She was born on June 30, 1966, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Donald Ray and Suzanne (Walker) Price.

Shelly grew up in Meeker and graduated from Meeker High School with the Class of 1984. An outstanding student and talented athlete, she was at the top of her class and participated in softball, basketball, and cheerleading. She was also crowned homecoming queen.

Shelly devoted her adult years to raising her children and supporting her family. A “supermom” in every sense, she took an active part in her children’s lives, from their activities and school parties to the many events and everyday moments that mattered to them. Her family was at the center of her life, and she gave generously of her time, attention, and love.

A talented artist, Shelly specialized in portraits, capturing the faces and character of the people she drew. She enjoyed playing darts, loved seafood, and was known for her fried chicken. Soft-spoken and gentle, she had a big heart and a quiet way of making others feel cared for. To her grandchildren, she was simply “Granny,” a name she held close to her heart.

After sharing many years together, Shelly and Jim Tanner were married on December 31, 2015. Jim preceded her in death, as did her parents, Donald Ray and Suzanne Price.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, David Wilson and wife, Allie; Kelly Geraldon and husband, Charlie; Jonathan Wilson; Brandi Breazeale and husband, PJ; Nick Tanner and wife, Sheyenne; and Brandi Jessie; her brothers, Kelly Price and wife, Sue, and David Price; 30 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, with another on the way; and many other family members and friends.

Shelly will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her artistic gifts, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her.
