Saundra Kay Dillard, beloved mother and wife, gained her eternal wings on July 29, 2026 at the age of 71.
Born on July 17, 1955 in Stroud, OK, Kay lived a life filled with love, kindness, strength, and compassion. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her through her generous heart, unwavering faith, and dedication to her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a faithful member of Jesus First Baptist Church, Stroud, Oklahoma. She served as Mother of the church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, offering encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love. She enjoyed drinking coffee, crocheting, baking pies and play cards, bid-whisk. She will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle spirit, homemade pies, and the countless memories she created with family and friends.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Ricky Dillard of the home; children Tawanna (Robert) Gordon of Stroud, OK, Shea (Rusty) Lewis of Ellenwood, GA, Donald Dillard of Stroud, OK, Ricky Dillard Jr of Oklahoma City, OK, Taretta Wages of Glenpool, OK and Larosa Dillard of Tulsa, OK; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; 2 aunts; 3 uncles; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Booker T Hornbeak; mother Helen “Moochie” Mixon; sister Vanessa Daniels; brothers Alvin Wayne Mixon Jr and Rodney Hornbeak and grandson Robert H. Gordon III.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00am at Stroud First Christian Church. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
Forever in our hearts, always in our memories.
