Roger Michael Newby was born on December 6, 1948, in Beaver, Oklahoma to Emra L. and Elizabeth Newby. He passed away on September 13, 2026, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years.

Roger was the youngest of 13 children. He graduated from high school in Gate, Oklahoma. He had several different occupations but enjoyed his years as a truck driver.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Cecil, Edgar, Max, and Bruce; 5 sisters, Pearl, Vivian, Evelyn, Helen, and Carolyn; and several nieces and nephews.

He is survived by two brothers, Ronald Newby of Westminster, Colorado, and Gary Newby of Beaver, Oklahoma; one sister, Marilyn Sulak of Guyton, Georgia; sister-in-law, Joyce Newby of Chandler; as well as several nieces and nephews.
