Robert “Bob” Eugene Buoy of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, in Prague, Oklahoma at the age of 92. Bob was born on July 6, 1933 in Meeker, Oklahoma, to Rome Edward and Iva Mae Buoy. Bob grew attended Meeker Public Schools, graduating from Meeker High School with the class of 1952. After graduation, Bob went to work for a few years before deciding to serve his country. In 1957, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he completed basic training at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Following basic training, Bob was stationed in Korea.
Following his two years of service in the Army, Bob returned to Oklahoma and went to work for Macklanburg-Duncan in Oklahoma City. He retired from Macklanburg-Duncan in 1996, after 38 years of service. After his retirement, Bob worked for Terrell Lumber while also working for Spitler & Sullivan Auction until retiring in 2023.
Bob was a devoted Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prague for 63 years. Bob was a huge Oklahoma Sooner fan. He loved his family and his church and made a long-lasting impact on all who knew him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, four sisters and numerous aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of more than 63 years, Melba Buoy of the home; his daughter, Kathy Carrington and her husband, John, of Shawnee; his granddaughter, Jessika Carrington of Shawnee; his nephews, Steve Buoy, David Buoy, Mark Buoy, James Buoy, Eddie Walker, Donnie Ford, Ronnie Ford and Barney Moudy; his nieces, Lisa Clifton, Regina Simpson, Gloria Walker, Shawna Dunaway, Pam Henderson and Dianne Morris and a host of family and friends.
