Rebecca Sue “Becky” Franklin, 60, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Becky was born on September 26, 1965, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Albert Franklin and Marsha (Cole) Pringle. She began her education in Norman Public Schools before transferring to Del City Public Schools. Becky later continued her education through Gordon Cooper Technology Center, earning certifications in childcare and as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Becky began her career in the family business, Marsha’s Country Kitchen. She later spent several years serving as a CNA at Meeker Nursing Home before returning to Marsha’s. Altogether, she dedicated more than 20 years to the family restaurant. She later worked at Williams Grocery Store for several years before finding a home at Love’s Travel Stop, where she worked for the past four years. She truly enjoyed her job with Love’s and valued the friendships she made with her wonderful coworkers.

Becky enjoyed reading books of all kinds, listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, and attending the state fair. She had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to help others. She was adventurous and loved the outdoors, especially in her younger years, and was always willing to try something new.

Her children were the reason she lived. Though she gave birth to three children, she lovingly raised five. Becky was a loving mother whose family meant everything to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Franklin and Marsha Pringle; great-grandmother, Alma Poole; grandparents, David and Delores Cole, and James and Mable Franklin; her step-father, Larry Pringle; and step-daughter, Hannah McClure.

She is survived by her children, Steven Franklin, Sarah Franklin, Melissa Franklin and her partner Nick Cartwright, and Elizabeth McClure and husband, Jason Cipoletti; sister, DeAnna Brannam and her husband, Howard Brannam; nieces, Mikayla Brannam, and Jessica Brannam; aunt, Linda Cole; cousin, Ronda Verrett; son-in-law, Cole Whitaker; as well as a host of other extended family members and friends.
