Ola Bon
Fouquet
March 21, 1937 – April 6, 2026
Ola Bon Fouquet was born on March 21, 1937, to Genese Joe and Dollie May Fouquet in Arlington, Oklahoma. He left this world for his eternal home in heaven on April 6, 2026, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
He attended school in Arlington through the eighth grade, then entered Prague High School, where he graduated in 1955. After several years working in agriculture and dairy farming, he was drafted by the United States Draft Board in 1957 and served for approximately three years. Following his service, he returned to Oklahoma and began a career at Tinker Air Force Base, where he remained for 25 years.
Ola Bon married Charlotte Burleson on July 27, 1963. In 1964, they purchased the farm originally homesteaded by Ola Bon’s grandfather, C.D. Deffenbaugh. There, they raised their three daughters, along with cattle and hay.
An active member of his community, Ola Bon belonged to the Arlington United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Oklahoma and National Cattlemen’s Associations and served on the Lincoln County Fair Board. He was also a member of the Arlington I.O.O.F. Lodge and was the self-appointed "Mayor" of Arlington, Oklahoma.
Ola Bon was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joe Don. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, and his children: Teresa Miller and her husband Scott; Vicki Newman and her husband Allen; and Genise Fridrich and her husband Aaron. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: John and Ashley, Josh and Lacey, Shane and Alysia, Matthew, Lindsey and Nathan, Preston and Amelia, Jessica and Wyatt, and Grace; as well as his great-grandchildren: Melody, Isaiah, Freddie, Lochlan, and soon-to-be Natalie Faye.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Ola Bon’s honor to the Arlington/Kellerby Cemetery Fund (355387 E. 1000 Rd, Prague, OK 74864).
