Mary Ann (Aldridge) Morris, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Mary was born on March 11, 1943, in Greenbrier, Arkansas. She grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Grant High School. She later earned her cosmetology license and worked as a beautician before pursuing an associate's degree in computer science from Oklahoma State University. Mary went on to build a successful career with the State of Oklahoma, serving as a manager in computer programming until her retirement.
A longtime resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, since 1999, Mary was an active member of Chandler First United Methodist Church. Her faith was evident through her involvement in numerous church ministries, as well as her dedication to the Meals on Wheels program, where she faithfully served others.
Following retirement, Mary devoted much of her time to her beloved grandchildren, cherishing summers spent making memories with them. Whether taking walks, visiting the lake, or taking them to golf camp, she treasured every moment they shared. Mary had a nurturing spirit and seemed to "raise" everyone she met. Her home was always a welcoming place, often filled with fresh chocolate chip cookies—or even cookie dough—for those she loved.
Known for her sarcastic sense of humor, Mary lived life with energy and enthusiasm. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, quilting, cake decorating, and DIY projects. She also loved playing bridge and dominoes, cooking for family and friends, and rarely sat still for long. Mary enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, camping, sightseeing, and riding side-by-sides. She was a proud cancer survivor and lived each day with determination and joy.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Robert Dean “Bob” Morris.
She is survived by son, David Morris; sister, Billie Jean Reedy; grandchildren, Hannah Morris and her husband Alec Hendricks, Hunter Morris, and Austin Morris; niece, Twila Adams; nephew, Mark Reedy; sister-in-law, Wanda Morris; as well as a host of other extended family members and dear friends.
