Obituary

Mary Katherine (Alexander) Egan, 83, was born October 29, 1942 in Circleville, OH to Marvin and Juanita Alexander. She passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family on September 15, 2026.

Mary grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated in 1960 at Linden-McKinley HS in Columbus. She and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1970. Some of her career choices included various administrative roles. Mary found her way to the trucking industry where she was an over the road driver and became a safety officer for Miller Truck Lines in Stroud. She enjoyed many roles in the trucking industry. Throughout her life, Mary enjoyed bowling, crafting, serving in the church in many ways including being a leader for a Grief Share group, being a cook for the youth at Falls Creek, and volunteered at Rainbow Nursing Home and Cushing Hospital. In later years, she worked at D’s Restaurant in Stroud where she was full of life and her smile was infectious. Mary was a natural caregiver for those in need or ill……but most recently her life of service to our Lord was her primary focus. She loved the Lord and never went anywhere without telling someone about the Lord and to have a blessed day.

She was known by many names: Mom, Mama Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Mema, Grammy, Meem, Grand, NanNan, Miss, and friend. Her brother used to call her “the old witch” because her birthday is so close to Halloween. But for the last 20 years she’s been called a daughter of the King, the bride of Christ.

Mary is survived by Ross Richardson, spouse of the home; David and Anne Greer, Marine City, Michigan; Chuck and Bambi Greer of Perkins, OK; Kim and Dan Johnson of Cushing, OK. Mary has 14 grandchildren: Kyle Greer, Kristina Greer, Kevin Greer, Justin Greer, Josh Greer, Brittani Baker, Ashlyn Brown, Katherine Williams, Chris Caldwell, Caleb Caldwell, Chelsea Hornberger, Erica Watson, Ryan Watson, and Alex Watson. She has 25 great grandchildren. Mary also has countless beloved extended family members and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Juanita Alexander; sister, Hazel Parsons; brother, John Alexander; and daughter, Barbara Melson.
