Obituary

Linda Joyce Stephens was born on August 2, 1949, to Mary Adeline Simek. She departed this life on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 76, at Stroud Health Care Center in Stroud, Oklahoma.

Linda was a lifelong resident of the Stroud area and a faithful member of the Baptist church. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed serving her community through many organizations and volunteer opportunities. Linda especially loved supporting local businesses and giving back to the community she proudly called home.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Mary Adeline Simek; her former husband, James “Sonny” Stephens; two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her longtime companion, William “Charlie” Harper of Stroud; one daughter, Belinda (Stephens) Lord; a daughter by love, Donelle (Flagor) Lord; one brother, Jimmy Simek; four grandchildren, Marcus Davis, Heather Davis, Brandi Lord, and Amber Riley; seven great-grandchildren, Brayden Davis, Callie Davis, Skyler Davis, Trevor Lord-Clark, Emma and Lillianna Riley and Jasely Haskins; along with many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that you consider honoring Linda by supporting one of Stroud's local small businesses or making a donation to the Stroud Alumni Association for future graduate scholarships. She loved this community with her whole heart, and there would be no greater tribute than continuing to invest in the people and places she cared about so deeply.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, 10:00 AM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darcy Hightower officiating.
