Larry Don
Kinslow
June 4, 1959 – February 28, 2026
Larry Don Kinslow, a longtime businessman, community leader, and beloved family man, passed away on February 28, 2026, in Little, Oklahoma, at the age of 66. He was born on June 4, 1959, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to Manton “Matt” M. and Joan (Walker) Kinslow.
Larry’s early years were spent in Woodward before his family relocated to Oklahoma City in 1963 and later settled in Prague in 1969. He attended Prague Public Schools and was a proud member of the Prague High School Class of 1977. During his high school years, Larry distinguished himself as a gifted athlete, earning All-State honors in football — a reflection of his determination, discipline, and competitive spirit. Following graduation, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University.
Larry dedicated much of his professional life to the family business, the Kinslow Sonic Group. Serving as a store supervisor for many years, he was widely respected for his leadership and work ethic, earning the Supervisor of the Year Award. His peers also trusted his guidance, and he served for many years as President of the Oklahoma City Sonic Co-Op. In 1984, Larry opened the Catfish Round-Up in Little, Oklahoma. Through decades of steady management and welcoming hospitality, he made it a local staple and gathering place for the community he loved.
A man of strong faith and fellowship, Larry was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the India Shrine. These affiliations reflected his commitment to service, brotherhood, and community involvement.
On December 11, 1999, Larry married Rhonda Gayle Kinslow in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they built a life centered on family and shared devotion. Rhonda preceded him in death on March 21, 2019. Larry was also preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in his children: Kelli Johnson and her husband, Bill Cody; Jessica Thomas and her husband, Randall; and Clint Kinslow and his wife, Jennifer. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Lauren St. Cyr and her husband, Camron; and Mandy Rehbein and her husband, Marcus. His twelve grandchildren — Jaycee, Kelby, Lillie, Carson, Eli, Addison, Preston, Maverick, Emerysn, Landen, Calum, and Taylor — were a constant source of pride and joy.
Larry is also survived by his brother, Gary W. Kinslow and his wife, Debra; his sister, Terry McKee and her husband; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
