Kevin James Connor, 77, of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on August 27, 2026.

Kevin was born on May 20, 1949, in Woodland, California, to Margaret “Peggy” Mary Connor (née Roths) and Herbert "Buzz" George Connor, Jr. He grew up in Winters, California, where he graduated from high school. He later attended Sacramento City College before moving to Wichita, Kansas, where he attended Sacred Heart College and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

While living in Wichita, Kevin met his future wife, Betty Jonetta Burger, while the two were working together at a local pizza restaurant. They were married on December 8, 1974, in Wichita and soon moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California.

Kevin and Betty welcomed two sons, Kevin Michael Connor and Clancy Jonathan James Connor. Shortly after their sons were born, the family returned to Kansas, first settling in Wellington and later in Arkansas City. During this time, Kevin worked as an assistant manager at the Wendy’s in Arkansas City.

In the early 1980s, Kevin began working for the Huffy Bicycle Company at its facility in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and the family moved there. He later began working for Farm Fresh Dairy in Ponca City. When the dairy moved its plant to Chandler, the family followed, making Chandler their home in 1988. Kevin continued working for Farm Fresh Dairy and later Hiland Dairy until approximately 2005. He then worked at Walmart in Shawnee, Oklahoma, until his retirement.

Kevin was an avid sports fan and especially loved the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers. Later in life, he enjoyed playing golf and, most of all, spending time with his three grandsons. In his younger years, he also enjoyed fishing and camping.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret “Peggy” and George; his wife, Betty; and his grandson, Joseph Michael Connor.

He is survived by his brothers, Herbert “Skip” Connor, III, of Cambria, California; Kennedy “KC” Connor of San Jose, California; Thomas Connor of Plano, Texas; and Sean Connor of Oroville, California; and his sister, Kathleen Burne of El Dorado Hills, California. He is also survived by his sons, Kevin Michael Connor of Chandler, Oklahoma, and Clancy Jonathan James Connor and his wife, Elizabeth, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and his grandsons, Isaac, Jason, and Gabriel.

In accordance with Kevin’s wishes, there will be no public services. He will be cremated, with a private family service to be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler, Oklahoma.

Kevin will be remembered by his family for the love he shared with them, his enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life, and the time he treasured with his children and grandchildren.
