Joshua Russell Taylor, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, in Prague at the age of 48.

Joshua was born on April 8, 1977, in Smith County, Texas, to Bennie Joe and Emma Lois (Binford) Taylor. He was raised in Mineola, Texas, where he attended Mineola Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1995. Following high school, Josh continued his education at Tyler Junior College. It was there he met the love of his life, Tamyla Elizabeth Robinson, and the couple were united in marriage on April 18, 2009.

In 2018, Josh and his family made their home in Prague, Oklahoma. He was a dedicated and hardworking man, spending more than 15 years as a skilled machinist. Josh took great pride in providing for his family and was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature.

Josh will be remembered most for his vibrant personality and joyful spirit. Affectionately described as a “walking jukebox,” he always had a song ready for every person he met. Music was his language of connection, and his ability to bring a smile through song left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Above all, Josh loved his family deeply and treasured the time he spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Joe and Emma Lois Taylor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Tamyla Taylor of the home; his children, Cecil Taylor and Margarette “Emme” Taylor; his sisters, Christy and Libby; his brother, Chad; his nieces and nephews, Chaney, Chaz, Caven, and Wesley; his great-nephews, Camron and Justin; and a host of extended family members and friends who will dearly miss him.
