Joletta Lou Casey, 78, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Joletta was born on February 1, 1948, in Konawa, Oklahoma, to Joe Curtis and Sarah Lou (Casey) Walker. She spent part of her early years in Asher, Oklahoma, before moving with her family to Leonard, Texas, where she graduated from Leonard High School. Following high school, Joletta began a career in manufacturing, working as a machinist for various companies for more than 30 years.

Joletta was a woman of many interests and enjoyed keeping busy. She was an avid reader who would read just about anything she could get her hands on. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, working crossword puzzles, and gardening, especially tending to her roses and tulips. She loved to cook, and preparing food was one of the ways she showed her love for others. She also enjoyed bowling and was once a member of a bowling league. Joletta took great pride in keeping a clean and tidy home—she would have readily admitted to being a bit of a neat freak. She also had a special fondness for collecting chicken memorabilia. She was a devoted OU fan who enjoyed cheering on and supporting the Sooners in all of their sports.

Above all, Joletta was a natural caretaker and a true giver. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She had a good sense of humor and a generous heart, always finding ways to give of herself to those she loved. Her faith was important to her, and she loved God and was of the Baptist faith.

Joletta was proceeded in death by her parents, Joe and Sarah Walker; a son, Justin Scott Wright; and her brothers, John Walker, and Jimmy Walker.

She is survived by a son, DJ Bailey; daughters, Janna Collins and her husband, John, Casey Bailey, Lillianna Bailey; and Emalee Bailey; grandchildren, Jordyn Bailey, Kylee Witcher and her husband Wade, Slade Sutherland, Desmond Bailey, Mason Bailey, and Daxon Bailey; brothers, Jerry Walker and wife Sandy, Joe Walker and wife Jane; her sister Janice Ben and husband David; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life for Joletta will be scheduled for a later date.
