Obituary

Jodi Pauline Glisson of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 65.

Jodi was born on October 7, 1960. She made her home in the Stroud community since 1970 and married the love of her life, David Glisson, on July 6, 1984, in Stroud, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and making memories with those they cherished most.

A devoted homemaker, Jodi found her greatest joy in her family. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, faithfully attending their games, programs, and activities. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, or backyard cookout, Jodi had a way of bringing people together. She was the life of every family gathering, filling each occasion with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Jodi also treasured every opportunity she had to visit the ocean, with Galveston always holding a special place in her heart. The sound of the waves and time spent along the shore brought her peace and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Wendi Jo Wright; her parents, Don and Paula Banta; her sister, Barbara Anson; and her father- and mother-in-law, Joe and Sally Glisson.

Jodi leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, including her loving husband of 42 years, David Glisson of Stroud; her daughter, Davi O’Donnell and husband, Sean, of Stroud; her brothers, Donald E. Banta and Rita, of Neodesha, Kansas, and Wintston “Dub” Banta of Oklahoma City; her sister, Lelia Byrd and husband, John, of Stroud; her grandchildren, Christian Wright, Faith Wright, McKenna Wright, Luke Hattenhauer, Laci O’Donnell, and Liam O’Donnell; her treasured great-grandchildren, Everlee Jo Wright and Liliana Rose Wright; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Jodi will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love for her family, joyful spirit, and the warmth she brought wherever she went. Her greatest legacy is the love she poured into those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
