Janis Marie Brown passed away surrounded by the love and memories of those who knew her best. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on November 17, 1952, and was the daughter of Viola Reeder. Growing up in a military family, Janis experienced life in many different places throughout her childhood, including time spent overseas, shaping her adventurous spirit and unique outlook on life.

Janis was an avid sports fan who especially loved baseball and faithfully cheered for her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers. She also had a deep passion for cars and enjoyed sharing that interest with those around her. Above all else, Janis cherished her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was truly one of a kind, leaving behind countless memories that will continue to bring smiles to those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Reeder; her daughter, Amber Dawn Brown; and her granddaughters, Dawn Brown and Brook-Lynn Brown.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Brown; her daughter, Adora O'Connor; her grandchildren, Zavier Brown and Luna Maulding; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.

The family will honor Janis’ life in a private ceremony to be held at a later date.
