Janet Lee Stinson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 26, 2026. She was born on August 14, 1970, in Stroud, Oklahoma, to Clara Dae Mashburn Jordan and Joe Mack Byrd.

Janet was a hardworking woman from a very young age. She spent many years working at the local hotel before joining her mother at the family diner. For the past 35 years, she dedicated herself to serving the community at OnCue, affectionately known to many locals as Jacks.

For countless people in the Stroud community, Janet was a familiar and welcoming face. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her helpful demeanor, and the way she made people feel welcome. Whether she was behind the counter or simply visiting with someone she knew, Janet had a way of making people feel like family. Her strong work ethic and dedication were evident in everything she did.

Janet married the love of her life, Bobby Stinson Jr., on August 24, 1990, in Davenport, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, hard work, and many adventures. Janet loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her grandbabies were especially precious to her, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

In her free time, Janet enjoyed ceramics, but she was happiest simply making memories with the people she loved. She and Bobby especially enjoyed getting up and going on adventures together, never needing much of a plan as long as they were together.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Dae Mashburn Jordan and Joe Mack Byrd; her daughter, JoAnna Marie Stinson; her brothers, Douglas Byrd and Teddy Byrd; her father-in-law, Bobby Stinson Sr.; and her niece, Caitlin Freese.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 36 years, Bobby Stinson Jr.; her son, Bobby Stinson III, and his wife, Makayla Stinson, and their children, Rowan and Clara; her daughter, Samantha Stinson, and her husband, Samuel Wall, and their children, Sophia, Lenyx, and Sadie; her sister, Debbie Hamilton and her husband, Steve; her brothers, Paul Byrd and his wife, Lorraine; Johnny Byrd and his wife, Lelia; and James Byrd; along with many extended family members and countless friends who were blessed to know her.

Janet’s passing leaves a tremendous emptiness for those who loved her, but her legacy will live on in the family she cherished, the friendships she made, and the many lives she touched throughout her years of serving her community.

To know Janet was to know her smile, her kindness, her determination, and her willingness to help. She was a hard worker, a loving wife and mother, a proud grandmother, and a friend to so many.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
