Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Hoyt Ivan Fleeting, 63, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026.
Hoyt was born Nov. 14, 1962 in Orange, California to Hoyt Ivan Fleeting and Georgia Mae (Pruitt) Fleeting.
He grew up living part of his childhood in California, then was raised and attended schools in the Midlothian and Sparks/Chandler/Meeker areas of Lincoln County.
From his first marriage, he had two children, Hoyt Ivan Fleeting and Rennon Fleeting.
In his career, Hoyt worked as a printing press operator, working many years at Advance Graphics in Chandler and many years at The Shawnee News-Star. He finished his career as a printer operator at ExxonMobil.
On Oct. 14, 2006, he married Kimberly Morava at OBU's Stubblefield Chapel in Shawnee.
Hoyt was an amazing husband and a caring father. He enjoyed being the cool Uncle Hoyt and, of course, Grandpa Hoyt — and all the fun that those roles entailed - from going to arcades to toy shopping, and even getting unlimited sweet treats at concession stands. Hoyt had a soft spot for animals, raising and caring for many over his lifetime, including dogs and cats, cattle, horses, goats and chickens. He always loved to say he disliked cats, but somehow cats adored him.
He loved tinkering and trying new projects, and he could fix just about anything. Known for wearing his signature camouflage hats and jackets, he enjoyed being outdoors and even cared for a small set of bee hives, harvesting the honey to enjoy and share with family and friends.
Hoyt was a big kid at heart. One of the things he always enjoyed doing with his sons over the years was playing video games, especially World of Warcraft - and catching the latest action or Marvel movies. Hoyt loved anything science fiction and was fascinated by space and the amazing awe of our universe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim; sons Hoyt Ivan, Rennon and wife Aida; grandchildren - Conard, River, Asher, and twins Anastasia and Isabella; bonus grandchildren, Castyn, Chaley, Camdyn, Gentry and Bodhi; two sisters, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives, extended family members and friends, as well as his beloved pup Peanut.
