Obituary

Donavin James-Lee Starr, 20, of Stroud Oklahoma entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2026. Donavin was born on November 10, 2005, in Lawrence, Kansas to Maria Starr and Eddie Crispin.

Donavin was the kind of person who made everyone around him feel welcome. He never knew a stranger, and his genuine kindness and easygoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Relaxed, laid-back, and always about the "chill vibes," Donavin lived life with a calm spirit and a warm heart.

He loved spending time playing video games with his brothers and could often be found on the basketball court enjoying a good game. Music was another passion of his, especially rap and hip-hop, which perfectly matched his easygoing personality. Donavin was also a dedicated and hardworking young man who loved working with his hands. He enjoyed tinkering and spending time working on his vehicle. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, friends, and those he loved most.

Donavin was preceded in death by his grandfather, James "Jimmy" Starr; his uncle, James Lee Starr; and his grandfather, Juan Crispin.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Maria Starr; his father, Eddie Crispin; his brothers, Antonio Crispin and Eddie Crispin Jr.; his sisters, Adelina Crispin, Brianna Crispin, and Priscilla Crispin; his grandmother, Florence Starr; his grandfather, David Grant; his grandmother, Norma Crispin; his beloved niece, Azari Crispin; his fiancée, Gracie Whalin; and their precious Baby Boy Starr.

He is also lovingly remembered by his special brothers and sisters: Riley Smith, Kandice Felton, Jazlyn Hindsley, Hagen Thornhill, Hailey Thornhill, Rmando Carroll, and Makenzi VanFossen, along with countless extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his kindness, laughter, and unwavering friendship.

Though his Earthly journey has come to an end, the love that Donavin shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His easy smile, generous spirit, hardworking nature, and ability to make everyone feel like family will never be forgotten.
